My name is Carly Payment. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Arizona State University. My pursuit of a degree in environmental science stems from my passion for species conservation, which began from a young age. Specifically, the functional extinction of the Northern White Rhinoceroses is what kick started my interest in this field. I am looking forward to beginning my career in the environmental science field after my graduation next May.
Research Interests
What interests me about working in Dr. Cramer’s research lab this summer (and this upcoming fall), are the implications for conservation research. By researching how different acid concentrations in water impact the friability of rocks and shells, we can potentially discover how much organisms are being impacted by increasing ocean acidification.
